Hello! I’m so damn happy you are here reading this.

We’ll start with the basics- my name is Whitney and I’m the mom to three ridiculous and incredible daughters. Two that follow me around asking for food…specifically marshmallows. And one creative bonus daughter who made me a mom first. Throw in two rescue dogs and we are quite a group.

I love all things that connect us to the land. Digging into my ancestry (hello Scottish Highland clans), reading every book about nature I can get my hands on, and exploring new places are a few of my favorite things. 

I’ve been married to my best friend for almost a decade. He has the worst dad jokes, makes a mean egg sandwich, and is hands down the best dad. As an active duty military member his job keeps us exploring the world. 

I am not someone who has to stay busy all day. Peace Corps Jordan taught me how to stare at a wall for hours when the winter months hit and sunlight diminished.  I think some of the best moments are the quiet ones we experience by just…being. A warm cup of coffee, good company (or book), and somewhere I can listen to nature is all I need.
